Asterian is a star system in the Veil sector. On the Colonial side of the map, this system has a threat levelof 17. In this system you will find the following Colonial npc ships: Viper Mark II (Level 64), Viper Mark VII (Levels 64 and 75), Rhino (Level 64 and 75), Glaive (Level 76), Maul (Level 76), Halberd (Levels 76 and 88), and Scythe (Level 76). In this system you will find the following Cylon npc ships: Cylon Raider (Levels 30 and 37), Marauder (Level 37), Heavy Raider (Level 30), War Raider (Level 27), Wraith (Level 31), Liche (Level 31), Spectre (Levels 25, 31 and 38), Jormung (Level 28) and Nidhogg (Level 34).
There are also Level 25 Seeker Drones and Level 29 Vigilant Hunter Drones.
Things of particular note this system contains:
- 1 Level 18 medium weapons platform.
- 1 Colonial medium freighter (escorted by Colonial strikes and escorts).
- 3 debris fields which may contain salvage.
- 3 planetoids.
The asteroids in this system may contain tylium, titanium and water.
A medium level Freighter in Distress Dynamic Mission will spawn in this system from time to time.

A maximum of 2 x Brimirs may be in this system at any one time. A maximum of 2 x Surturs may be in this system at any one time.
