The Advanced Vanir is the upgraded (i.e. advanced) version of the Vanir. With its unique design, this is the third line ship you can choose when you reach level 20. It is a command vessel, so it should be used as a mobile base of operations. The advanced version requires 60,000 cubits, which gains it: 2 weapons slots; 1 computer slot; 1,050 hull points; 15.6 per second to hull recovery; 35,000 to durability; 250 to power; and 2 per second to power recovery. With five computer slots available the Advanced Vanir can be vital tide-changer in some small skirmishes.
The Advanced Vanir can also be used as a missile ship as it can also have systems which improve the power supply even further, and after game update 46, it has the most base power available out of any line ship, advanced or not and the equal highest power regeneration rate. Unlike it's escort equivalent the Advanced Glaive, the Advanced Vanir does not gain an additional hull slot - it retains the two hull slots from the unadvanced version.
In-game description[]
"A Reclaimed Vanir that has Undergone additional repairs and a more comprehensive refit, replacing older components, fully integrating modern colonial fire control and electronic management systems. Such work requires extensive research but results in a Tougher, more powerful ship.
The Advanced Vanir's hull is stronger and more durable than the standard version, and it can mount additional weapon and computer systems.
Role Bonus - Command: -200 to power cost for FTL Transponders."
