The Advanced Cylon War Raider is the upgraded (i.e. advanced) version of the Cylon War Raider and is one of the hardest ships to get, the others being the other mult-roles, the carriers and the stealth ships. With high health and 5 weapons slots, the Advanced War Raider is very dangerous foe to go against, only matched by 2 escorts or 3 high level strike pilots (completely dependent on the pilots skill level but their skill is most likely high due to amount of P v P combat they must go through in order to earn the Advanced War Raider). This Strike is the most overpowering against other Strikes and Escorts (Lines, too, if the pilot can fish out the blind spots, which is extremely easy once you get the hang of it). This ship is very popular but it is rare to find a low level player with an upgraded version of it as you need to kill many other players to gain that amount of merits.

Upon advancement this ship gains: 1 weapons slot; 135 hull points; 0.75 per second to its hull recovery; and 1 per second to its power recharge.

"A Cylon War Raider that has undergone extensive reconfiguration and reconstruction to incorporate advances in Cylon ship manufacture and engineering techniques. Hull strength and reactor performance are improved, allowing the Advanced War Raider to support more weapons than other strike craft.

Due to the expense of customizing and maintaining an Advanced War Raider, it is only made available to the most dedicated and experienced combat pilots."
