The Advanced Banshee is the upgraded version of the Banshee. It costs 45,000 cubits to upgrade the Banshee to its advanced version. It is the Cylon interceptor class escort ship. Upon advancing, the Advanced Banshee gains an additional 2 weapons slots (making a total of 6) and 1 additional engine slot (making a total of 5). It also gains an extra 420 hull points, an increase of 6 hull points per second to hull recovery, an extra 14,000 added to its durability, and an extra 100 to its base power.

These changes increase the Advanced Banshee's combat abilities increasing its chances of survivability. It is still best suited to use for hit and run strike tactic for, even with its increased abilities, the Advanced Banshee is still the weakest of the Cylon escort ships.

The Colonial equivalent of this ship is the Advanced Scythe.
